An adaptive calibration technique for thermistor with varying temperature coefficient and reference resistance

Background: A thermistor is a nonlinear sensor requiring precise calibration technique to achieve accurate temperature measurements. This paper attempts design employing artificial neural network (ANN) algorithms. The present work fulfills the following objectives: (i) cover 100% input range in linearity measurement; (ii) make measurement adaptive variations reference resistance and coefficient using technique. Methods: An ANN-based circuit cascaded data conversion circuit. Optimized ANN trained with linear independent of effects on output. optimization performed by comparing various schemes, algorithms, numbers hidden layers minimum mean square error regression close 1. Results: proposed provides relationship for system over entire avoids requirement repeated calibrations each time replaced. Practical are used validate Conclusions: objectives have been demonstrated results root percentage 1.8%.
